Nature of Human Thought viewed from Son(Zen)

 

 

 

  After all, western dynamic psychotherapy deals with patient's repressed emotion predominantly and it focalizes the therapeutic scope on patients' specific personality problem often related to childhood emotion. For that end, it employs all mental faculties as I mentioned above. "Son", on the other hand, does not deal with the focal problem but deals with the mind itself as a whole. For that, it requests us, temporarily, to leave off all thoughts, therefore it does not analyze the contents of thought. This eventually awakes a man to the nature of thought itself, reversely, by way of self-induced deprivation of thought.
